I forget to write about it! I watched it a few weeks ago. It’s on Netflix Latin America.
I’m not a religious person so I can’t say I felt very inspired by it! IMHO It’s basically a religious film! There was a cute moving scene of a little girl asking to the monk about how not to feel sad because her pet died but in general there wasn’t too much stuff for the not converted. They were at least sincere when they showed young monks clearly being bored by some of the rituals
Anyway BC’s narration was sublime. His voice and intonations were surely a standout.

I thought it was a lyrical love letter to Thic Nhat Han. He is a blessing to the Buddhist community. Maybe it’s because I tend towards Buddhism myself, so I’m partial to it. Agreed, Ben’s narration is sublime.

Agreed, Ben’s narration is sublime. It is unfortunately not available on Netflix Canada. I am not religious at all but I do appreciate religiosity in others. And I am always curious about all types of faiths. And of course the inclusion of the melodious Mr Cumberbatch would be a definite draw. 😁
