The only film that I truly liked RDJ's work (where I didn't feel I was watching RDJ "ACTING a role JUST for you!") was Zodiac. He was excellent in that. I actually forgot I was watching RDJ during that movie. I think Fincher deserves a lot of the credit for that result.

Have you watched Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang? I think he was playing against the type. He was the almost naive straight man there. Even in Zodiac he was his cynical self in comparison.
Also it's a very enjoyable little movie.

Also it's a very enjoyable little movie. I haven't seen KK,BB. If I get a chance I'll give it a try. I thought Zodiac was a really good film. I loved the whole style of the movie. Fincher directed it with a very deft hand but obviously his intense perfectionist style of working wasn't to everyone's taste. I read that RDJ was one of the ones who complained openly about Fincher's demanding style. Personally I liked Ruffalo's attitude a lot better - "The way I see it is, you enter into someone else's world as an actor. You can put your expectations aside and have an experience that's new and pushes and changes you, or hold on to what you think it should be and have a stubborn, immovable journey that's filled with disappointment and anger." To bring this back around to BC, I think BC is more like Ruffalo, in that he seems to accept a director's prerogative and style more openly, and also seems to be an actor who enjoys the widest amounts of choices when it comes to takes. I wonder what type of director he will make if he goes down that path eventually?

I think BC just talks them into what he wants! Marvel and Illumination wanted his original accent: Dr. Strange and the Grinch have the American accent BC wanted to do. PM director said he was afraid BC was too over the top, but it worked out perfectly. Peter Jackson just wanted him to speak Smaug's lines into a microphone: he wanted to do mo-cap with facial mapping software. Guess who won? LOL The kind who drives everyone crazy with take, after take, after take, after... But he'll be able to talk them into it!

This made me laugh: www.goldderby.com/article/2019/robert-downey-jr-avengers-endgame-oscar-winner-poll-results/I love RDJr! I was talking about it recently! But this is a very shitty prediction! At least they are predicting a win for Endgame or that he would return to artistic movies after Marvel! Of course, people as BC and MR have a bigger chance just based in the fact that they are still doing more award oriented films! Actually I would say that the young beautiful women have a bigger chance than all the male actors! Based in statistics! (Although I can't believe that Scarlett Johansson hasn't been nominated yet!) The point is I think they voted for their favorites! EDITED I just checked his IMDB page and this actually sounds good, www.imdb.com/title/tt6534532/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_1I love Richard Linklater! It's still in pre-production. The rest is a movie directed by Jamie Fox that sounds like a comedy, Dr. Dolittle and more Sherlock Holmes.

I didn’t see any acting in Endgame that would lead to an Oscar. I think that RDJ has been nominated for an Oscar before, so it’s likely that he’ll be nominated again or even win one for some other role. I think he could have done a lot more in his Endgame performance. Benedict, though, deserves an Oscar for every role he does (not that I’m biased or anything. Ha!)

I can totally see RDJ in this role! It does sound good.
Wasn't he nominated for Chaplin? I liked him in that.
