It's great that the "Twitter critics" liked it. We will see what happens with formal reviews. It seems it's a humble classical drama so TBH I would hate an Oscar campaign. They are becoming increasingly crueler and stupider every year. It would be great a reception similar to Bridge of Spies: a very well received little movie with a strong box office but without the tension of silly awards! Some of those with check marks after their names are critics and entertainment reporters. I know! But with a few exceptions I tent to not respect too much critics who write quickly first reactions on social media instead of waiting to think stuff and write something more substantial. It's slighly better in festivals, I guess! But those types who wait for the ending of embargoes just to write a tweet are the worst! It seems to me they just want the publicity of being quoted on click baity pieces!

Also with these reactions I hope someone buy it soon! It's incredible it still doesn't have an American distributor yet!
I saw a few fans wondering why there wasn't a trailer. Well, it doesn't has anyone who sell it yet in the USA. That's why!

I’m wondering which of his performances they’re comparing this to? I’m glad they liked him, though.

I’m wondering which of his performances they’re comparing this to? I’m glad they liked him, though. I'm sure he is great here but surely they haven't watched or are interested in his TV work and that's why modern critics (especially Film Twitter celebrities) doesn't compare to people like Pauline Kael who always seemed to know everything about every member of the cast/ crew and read all the adapted books! She could be very cruel but you just couldn't questioned someone who seemed to know much more that you about everything!

I actually like the comments of this critic. She seems genuinely saying her thoughts and not the kind of Twitter critic who want to the be the first to condemn or acclaim a movie! (You rarely found nuance on Film Twitter. Everything is the worst or the best ever! That's why sometimes the reception change a lot when you read actual reviews)
