More random thoughts: I love Tom Hardy as everyone else seems to love him but I kind of feel people really give him a pass about. .. well, everything!
His new movie looked terrible since the trailer. The makeup was a joke for starters! And well, it seems it's indeed horrible and his performance sounds pretty weird but he is still being praised by some for his eccentricities ("another role in which you can't understand what he is saying and he is so over the top that he is almost a cartoon character, isn't he great?") and people on social media are claiming the bad reviews sounds like something they should watch because they are the cool kids and really like literally shit! (Read the reviews to know!). It's Venon again, except that this time it is not a huge franchise!
And now I'm reading this:

Theron is taking herself some of the blame but, maybe I'm wrong, I have never read about Theron causing problems on other sets. There were rumors that Hardy also "clashed" with Alejandro Gonzalez-Inarritu and Hardy himself has admitted he slapped Paul Bettany in one of his early movies because he was bad mouthing him. Then there is the stories about how he stays in character on set so it's ok to treat young actors badly,

I'm glad he is more mature today and that outside set he seems to be a lovely person but I'm perplexed because this is supposedly the behavior isn't tolerated anymore! Or at least it is widely criticized on social media! At least some actors are criticized! I don't know probably it's because those actors are major names with longer careers: Christian Bale, Joaquin Phoenix, Jared Leto, etc. but with Hardy is more, "I understand him! He loves puppies!"
Also being difficult on set is not being a Method actor!

But no part of the oral history is as juicy as Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, and more of the cast reliving the onset feuding that occurred as a result of the massive production challenges. Hardy and Theron famously butted heads on set, and Theron told The Times that both actors were to blame for the tension.
Hardy told The Times he agrees with Theron. The actor said, “I think in hindsight, I was in over my head in many ways. The pressure on both of us was overwhelming at times. What she needed was a better, perhaps more experienced, partner in me. That’s something that can’t be faked. I’d like to think that now that I’m older and uglier, I could rise to that occasion.”
“Because of how much detail we were having to process and how little control one had in each new situation, and how fast the takes were — tiny snippets of story moments were needed to make the final cut work — we moved fast, and it was at times overwhelming,” Hardy added. “One had to trust that the bigger picture was being held together.”
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who starred in “Fury Road” as one of Immortan Joe’s wives, said Theron and Hardy’s personalities clashed on set because they have “completely different approaches to their craft.” Zoe Kravitz said she observed both actors having moments of anger, but that it was Hardy who “really took it out on George the most, and that was a bummer to see.” But as Kravitz explained, “In some ways, you also can’t blame him, because a lot was being asked of these actors and there were a lot of unanswered questions.”
