I’ve just started watching it. I’m half-way through the second episode. It’s pretty good so far, but the more I watch of it, the more it reminds me of the series Episodes. It has the same manic craziness about it, and it’s also a behind-the-scenes look at show business.
Episodes was hysterically funny and I hated to see it end. I had binge-watched it one summer, along with Breaking Bad, Dexter, and Mad Men. After a while, it occurred to me that I was spending my summer watching people behaving badly - and rooting for them.

People here undoubtedly behave badly but they are not just lovable but also very human. The format is of a typical American sitcom but these characters seems slightly more credible than those in classical sitcoms without going to the extreme cynicism of the edgy 90s or early 00s comedies as Seinfeld or UK's The Office or Extras. The main characters can be manipulative, devious and even treasonous but somehow they are also well-meaning! It's clear why they do what they do even if they are wrong, you understand the intention behind their actions. Also there is much more sex, infidelity and nudes than in your typical American sitcom!
I hadn't hear about that Episodes series but it sounds interesting!

I was surprised to discover that Episodes was a British show after I started watching it!

I just finished watching it. I’m happy that there will be another season coming at some point!
It was really good! I’m definitely going to recommend it to people I know. The funny parts were absolutely hilarious. My favourite characters are Camille and Hervé and I have a hard time liking Gabriel and Noémie.
I found the English translation a bit weird. It’s a bit awkward at times and seems to be done by someone whose first language isn’t English,

It’s not a long wait, then, for new episodes!
The interview with Sigourney Weaver is interesting because they say she “rarely” does comedy, but I’ve only ever seen her in comedies: Working Girl, Ghostbusters, Dave. And she did a couple of episodes of Doc Martin. It was actually the first time I ever watched Doc Martin. They kept showing ads on tv for an upcoming episode, and I thought it looked like Sigourney Weaver in one of the clips, so I watched it when it was on. Apparently, she was a big fan of the show and asked to be written into it. (That started my obsession with Doc Martin and I’ve now seen all the episodes many times)
