Oh dear!
And yet absolute junk programs (like Brigerton) get renewed!
How disappointing.
Not something I wanted to wake up to on my birthday!

I didn't watch this show (I only have a vague idea about her) and yesterday, when I saw this news, I search for your post and saw there was a thread from two years ago which I hadn't read. After the merger and rebrand of HBO they've been taking down shows. I've seen other cancellations.
Happy Birthday!

Thanks for the birthday wishes.
I guess, in my heart I always knew Julia wouldn't last. It's a thoughtful, articulate, impeccably acted, production with complicated characters and plots that require some concentration on the part of audience members.
What chance did it have against "shite" like Brigerton, Grey's Anatomy, The Bachelor and a dozen reincarnations of Law and Order! What utter dreck!
But I guess Julia was doomed because it didn't lend itself to "shipping" and memes on "TikTok". Sigh!

Our Flag Means Death was also cancelled by Max after 2 seasons and gay fan Twitter is having a meltdown.

I doubt anyone on Twitter is having a meltdown about the cancelation of Julia.
It's not "hip" enough for them to care about.

Our Flag Means Death was also cancelled by Max after 2 seasons and gay fan Twitter is having a meltdown. I have all mentions of OFMD muted (the fans, especially those, generally women, who aren't gay but like to ship men together, are very annoying) so I didn't see anything till I read some news and there it was, cancelled. Then I went to read the drama on twitter. Haha.
The show was watchable except, imo, Taika Waititi. I only watched the first season (because of TW).
Which shippers are more annoying?
- Johnlockers
- OFMD fans
- Good Omens fans
- Killing Eve fans
- Other

Johnlockers for sure to me!
But then I'm not a fan of any of the other shows, so my perspective may be skewed.
