Agreed that he isn't exactly the most trustworthy source of information. He is very polemic and he kinda burnt a lot of bridges with his attitude so I'm not sure how many actual sources he really still have in Hollywood.
On the other hand, he sounds very sure. Someone knows if he have had a good exclusive recently? Anyway, we will see!
BC's next film role this year supposedly is Morning with Laura Dern. But it's a supporting role so maybe he won't spend too much time on that set.
I kinda would like him to play Pete Seeger. I know that his voice tone is very different but he is such a good singer and as his Morresey act shows, he really can imitate singing voices (and as his SNL's New Wave shows, he can be extremely flexible with his own voice). If, Chalamet sings like Bob Dylan, I trust that he easily could surprise as Seeger! Even when it's a much difficult task!

By now, people should be used to his American accent! And contrary to the brother of the Boston criminal and the militar lawyer, Seeger is very popular so most people* should identify that he is imitating his way of talking. The rest, it’s just toxic Twitter and with some lunch Elon Musk will kill it by then! 😉
*Yesterday I saw tweets by a pair of Chalamet fans saying they don’t know who is Bob Dylan (and hysterically blaming Americans own self of superiority for thinking that non-Americans should know who he is. Not girls! As a non-American, I can tell you: you are ignorants with no sense of cultural history). So I guess, there still should be a lot of ignorant kids out there not having idea about Seeger!

Also Seeger was an American and VERY American but at the same time, he had a very aristocratic figure and demeanor. He wasn’t a n American “dude”! He actually had a long line of aristocratic ancestors. Some descended from some of the original first colonizers in America. Actually, according to the link above, they were even related to some of BC’s own aristocratic ancestors!
C’mon that’s another character (alongside Richard III, Arthur Conan Doyle/Sherlock, Alan Turing and I don’t remember who elseLol) he is linked by bloodline!
EDITED I just want to say that I’m kinda joking about the “bloodline”. People are so obsessed with identities nowadays but I don’t agreed “connections” with the characters are really necessary. Also, I found the link of BC with Richard III kinda ridiculous! I mean the guy lived so many centuries ago that probably the whole UK (and a lot of people from other countries!) decent from him! Lol It’s just that BC has a very identifiable surname so it’s easier to make connections with historical figures. I think that’s why he is frequently linked with a lot of his real life characters.

Lol. Another example of how easy seems to be find BC’s ancestors. He, alongside Pete Seeger, descends from Mayflower passengers, mayflower.americanancestors.org/famous-descendantsI goggled them and, about teh film, World of Reel recycled that Sneider “exclusive”. Again, not a 100% trustworthy site.

OT but I saw this comment by a Bob Dylan fan about one of the tweets by youngsters who doesn’t know who is Bob Dylan and I think it’s a great comment!
Probably, that’s why Todd Haynes and even Scorsese films about Dylan (his were documentaries but one was mostly about the times and others than him and the other was full of intentional lies like the one about Sharon Stone being a teenager groupie who had an illegal romance with an adult Dylan! It was released in full Me Too times! Obviously, a huge cynical joke!) are faithful to him even when they are pretty evasive because precisely he is a very evasive figure. We will see what James Mangold will do with allegedly a more straightforward storyline.
In Scorsese first documentary, there is even this suggestion that he was a complete “fraud” because his ex-friend saw him like that but that he was great because it. That period supposedly is were this new project will center: when he kinda “betrayed” his folk musicians friends for, allegedly, popularity, fame and money. He was pretty resented for it but then years later people still feel surprised when he accepted to do Victoria Secret ads or released a Christmas album (ok, that was for charity but it’s pretty funny! I bought it! Lol)

Interesting bit of information,
I didn't knew it is an adaptation but I haven't really read too much about this project.

Yes, I saw that the World of Reel site posted a PW entry from a month ago. I don’t know if it’s the same. Apparently, PW also includes this movie in today issue. BC is not named in the official cast above only as “mentioned for the role of Seeger” at the end of the summary so it’s still just a rumor. We will see.
