What's the problem with these people? It's not distracting at all. Yesterday I watched without subtitles and today I put the subtitles to see if I had missed something and then I saw I didn't need them. Their enunciation was perfect.

I think it’s a mix of people being easily distracted nowadays with the influence of social media: a popular post saying something and everyone taking it for a fact like Wes Anderson not casting POC or BC not having lips! Lol Those are easily refutable statements but facts doesn’t exist on social media and, again, there is a lot of backlash against Anderson maybe because he is also a very beloved filmmaker with a big following. In other words, a lot of teh criticism against him, doesn’t even have logic!

Yesterday, I thought about if someone would be offended that Richard Ayoade played the guru and just today I saw a tweet by a man angry that Anderson didn’t hired Bollywood actors and instead hired a black man and a white man to play Indians! Then he called him racist just like Dahl! I think they guy believes that Krishna Pandit Bhanji, alias Sir Ben Kingsley, is white! Why people don’t check before accusing someone of something so bad like being a racist? Or maybe he thinks Henry Sugar or Roald Dahl were Indians characters! Like those idiots who thought Dr Strange was Asian or Latino! 😉
Also it’s perfect that all the actors are British! That’s actually the nice part of the AV review, that “each actor bring a different flavor of Britishness”. There is a big population of Indian descendants in the UK and the stories are very British so they didn’t needed Bollywood actors. There are already two famous Indian British actors in the cast!

I also didn’t think their voices were that monotone. There’s a flatness to them but there was certainly a LOT of emoting going on, especially with BC. He seemed so at ease with that style of dialogue.
