I've just noticed that "Rio" is now called "Let It Fall Back" on IMDB. Have I just not noticed, or is that new?

Glasses must be caked with mud (lol)! But I hadn't noticed. I barely ever visit IMDB now though.
I also noticed that the trivia is quoting that it was originally set in Sri Lanka but then moved to Rio? Is that right, or the wrong way round? It was obviously called "Rio" provisionally, but is being filmed in Sri Lanka instead. But was it originally intended to be set in Sri Lanka as well, before Rio, or not? Anyone know?

The script was called Rio so I think that's the original name. I have the impression it was Guadagnino's idea to change it to another place, Sri Lanka (he told about shooting a film noir in a sunny humid place). I'm not sure which it's the new name, tho. It was said it was Let it Fall Back but recently was called Let it Come Down by one outlet, which it's also the name of a Paul Bowles novel that Guadagnino said is a favorite. Other outlets said it's untitled.
The last news about it was BC saying to a Brazilian journalist that he will do it but not in Rio do Janeiro because they changed the location.

It doesn't sound good for this project:
From Variety:
Apparently the sequel will be released in July next year so I guess the shooting is imminent.
I don't think Guadagnino's movie need too much time to be shoot and BC is free right now so I hope the writer is wrong and this is his next film and not Spiderman.
EDITED: By the way, a lot of people believe Dr. Strange will have at least a cameo considering that the bad guy has supernatural powers and has some relation with Strange in the comics.

Well, it's not the first time BC has kept space for something that hasn't happened. And I think he's kept space for this for months now. While I'm sure he won't mind having more family time and extended time to be involved with the development of longer term SunnyMarch projects, it must be very galling. Presumably something else, or possibly more than one something else, will have had to be put aside in favour of the Guadagnino film.
But I'm not quite sure how that specific Variety quote relates currently, Sgev. According to its IMDB page, "Velvet Buzzsaw" is actually already in POST-production now, so aside from any pick ups required, that shouldn't be holding anything back. And Jake G hasn't actually yet been confirmed as the big bad in the next Spiderman anyway, so that remains speculation really. BC is also, indeed, surely likely to be involved in that film too (with or without Jake G). I haven't chased down what comment there is elsewhere about it, but I do know Strange becomes a bit of a mentor to the young Spiderman and is quite a significant presence in the comics. If the same imperatives apply to his featuring in that film, as apply to not officially announcing the second Strange film, though, then it'll be kept very, very quiet. I think the character must apparently die, somehow more permanently than some others, so that having him known to be officially featuring in a later film would be too much of a spoiler.
Re that Variety article as well, though, there's this quote that doesn't make very much sense to me either: Bearing in mind that they're talking about the next SPIDERMAN film, after already confirming they know Tom Holland is returning, how does talking about casting a NEW male and female lead make any sense at all?

I guess for other important roles but not the leading ones.
Apparently he also got the name of writers wrong.
We will see. I hope we have some confirmation soon. The movie supposedly will be released in one year but there are still casting it and it doesn't seem they have an exact date to shoot it.
