BC's RIII will always be one of my most favourite performances of his!
I liked that reviewer's analogy of the despotic amorality of RIII and Trump. It rings true to me. The value of Shakespeare is often much deeper than his poetry. It lies in his timeless way of laying bare the darkness, as well as the joy, of the human soul.

He is so right about how good literature importance goes beyond historical accuracy. Of course, it's important to teach the context and facts, too but there is always this group of closed minded people who subestimate young minds and believe they would not understand the difference between reality and fiction. Well, explain it to them! Shakespeare is so good that the central theme in what was basically a propaganda play still relevant nowadays! Maybe his villain was a hatched job but he humanized him enough to feel it real.

He made the man human for me.

Seeing this reminds me of how much I love this performance of his!
Still ranks up there right at the top of his best performances!
Charming, cruel, villain and victim all wrapped into one. Phil and RIII had much in common
