I was very young when the 1985 earthquake happened but I remember adults being fearful because the rest of the country almost completely lost communication with the affected area. They just disappeared for a long time. One of the biggest cities in the world! That seems the big difference now. We could contact relatively quickly a pair of friends who were there.
I'm glad your friend is alright!

Thanks! It was a relief to hear from her. It's been an intense few weeks. My best friend's 88 year-old mother had to be rescued by helicopter from her home in Houston during the Harvey flooding. The future is looking rather bleak because of climate change!

They hadn't mentioned that here. What an awful anniversary! And devastating with the primary school, not that it isn't devastating elsewhere, but a primary school is too terrible! I've been trying to see if they got the one little girl out that they found alive, but its not clear.
Don't know about earthquakes, but climate change is certainly gong to bring more and stronger hurricanes and floods etc. And one wonders how some of those areas can rebuild if it is just going to happen again! But Trump says climate change isn't real, so everything must be alright then.........

The future is looking rather bleak because of climate change! I live in Monterrey city, near Texas and most families here have probably more relatives in Houston than in Mexico City. From my mother side there are a lot of elderly cousins. They weren't gravelly affected but I listened a lot of stories everywhere about people worried for their families there. Americans talked a lot about Mexico selflessly helping there but it has to. There are a lot of Mexicans there.

Yes, there are. There are more Mexicans in Houston than in any city in Texas. Houston is actually the most diverse city in the U.S.
I'm glad your relatives weren't severely impacted. There were parts of the city that weren't flooded at all, but the toxins released into the air and water are cause for great concern. I'm afraid the lasting effects of this storm are going to be horrific. Recovery will be a nightmare, too. One small example: at least 500,000 cars were totaled and have to be towed off and disposed of somehow.

Apparently the girl and other two persons/kids are live trapped there. The rescuers gave them water and are reinforced the access but haven't released them yet.

There is a bigger version in the podcast. He talks Patrick Melrose and it's suggested he will play him in his 20s. He also talks a little about some new theatre role. Hello I guess I’m not the only curious but I’ve listened to this podcast twice and I cannot hear anything about Melrose and Bc playing younger Patrick? Desperate to find the reference mentions here. Help please!!

Did you download it? Apparently it's different if you just listening.
He didn't say explicitly that he will play him at twenty just agreed with with the interviewer that he will age with the character.
