I hope it’s not true! It sounds like a silly movie! The directors are mostly generic comedy directors and TBH that cast is kind of boring and uncharismatic, with the exception of Hugh Grant who it seems it’s also in it!
Oh well, if true it most probably is just a short role!
EDITED ok. I shouldn’t be so negative. 1)It’s not official; 2) I haven’t watched the work of those two directors and I don’t have any idea what this thing will be about nor what role he supposedly is playing!
It’s just that it sounds like a cheap version of The Hobbit and the Hobbit wasn’t even goo! BC was the best thing in that and he was playing a short role!

The only movie I've seen of those two directors was Game Night and IMO it was HORRIBLE! I hated it from start to finish (we were kind of forced into going to it by circumstances. A complete waste of time and money. It wasn't funny in the least and the writing was dreary and formulaic.
If BC is involved with this movie it probably is just a cameo role. It seems to have a pretty well full set of cast already.
It will be one I'll miss regardless. Both Dan and I loathe movies/TV programmes that have dragons in them. I think the last dragon I saw on any kind of screen was in the Disney animated film The Sword in the Stone - my mother took me to it and that was the final chapter in my dragon watching days!

Smaug was a great dragon…although TBH I had only watched his scenes because I never bothered to watch The Hobbit!
I read about the project. They claim it will have a “ subversive approach” to the game which kind of sounds nice and, at certain point, they had a left field scriptwriter from indie cinema who supposedly wrote a very exciting version of the script that made producers to accelerate the production but then they hired these two black humor comedies directors and just let them to rewrite the script! Lol Of course, we don’t know if their version bettered it or not!
I don’t know their work but most of their stuff wasn’t exactly well received. It seems Game Night is actually one of their best and I am not being sarcastic, it was properly well received.

Game Night was terrible! I only gave it half an hour before switching it off.

Believe me that if I could have switched off I would have! It was, without a doubt one of the worst movies i ever had to sit through. Just boring and dull. It wasn't the cast's fault. Jason Bateman (although I'm not a fan of his) is someone I find quite good in Ozark. And Rachel McAdams was great in DS. And I like Plemons in a number of things he's done.
But the writing was soooooo bad. The premise was... stupid - just convoluted and felt forced all the way through. And it seemed very dated like this was some old fart's idea of what he thought would have been funny if you came from the 1970s. The characters were presented in a careless and "stock" fashion. And all the action was telegraphed all the way through. I didn't laugh, or even smile for that matter, once.
As for Smaug - yes, BC was great as that character. That's why I watched the excerpts on YouTube. But I actually enjoyed seeing him in those BTS videos about how he made the character more. And his audition tape is priceless!

Game Night was terrible! I only gave it half an hour before switching it off. Comedy is definitely subjective! I thought it was hilarious 😂 It was definitely ridiculous, but that was part of the point.

I'm not one to watch horror movies but I can understand why as an actor he might be tempted to take on a project like this. He's always looking for challenges and something different. Doing something like that certainly would fit that bill!

It’s far from confirmed. It’s just a random site so…
I’m not a big fan of Shayamalan. The Sixth Sense was very good but the rest (from what I have watched) are pretty boring and the trick of the big surprise at the end become tiresome with the repeating.
We will see.
