It's interesting that he "joked" about not wanting to speak to The Hollywood Reporter. They gave The Current War a bad review when they shouldn't have reviewed it at all. I'm still angry about it! I think Benedict should have walked away and not given that guy an interview, but I guess he's a much nicer person than I am!

I haven't watched half of the videos I posted here but I just watched THR and it seems he is throwing some shade there! He said he is joking but I'm not sure!

I think Benedict should have walked away and not given that guy an interview, but I guess he's a much nicer person than I am! I think we watched it at the same time! I doubt it's for the negative reviews. That would be cheap of him! Also imagine be bothered for something like that after...I don't know, The Fifth Estate. He especially talks about out of context quotes and the first thing it comes to my mind is a very old profile (2012 or 2013?) in which the author portrayed him as a somekind of tormented or moody character. The guy said the interview went wrong but never said exactly why. Just that he seemed angry one minute and very sweet another. The problem seemed to be that the journalist wanted an explanation of why he quit Guillermo Del Toro's movie. He even wrote that he couldn't have a successful career in Hollywood if he refuses to answer those kind of questions. Which was bonkers! Also they are extremely click-baity nowadays! Every outlet is but they are high in the list. At least compared to other mainstream publications.
