They’re not saying that this FYC list is intended for the Oscars. I think they have it ready to go for whatever awards come along. I’m sure there’s some award out there for voicing cartoons! I’m for any publicity that makes people think that his performance is award-worthy.
Maybe he’s so good that they do expand the Best Actor Oscar to include voice work! Ha!
I remember back when Tootsie came out - lots of people thought that Dustin Hoffman should have been nominated for Best Actress!

Probably you are right about other awards. I remember he was nominated a few years ago for an American voice work award (for his Smaug? I think) but lost to Steve Carrel for Illumination's Despicable Me. It's just that award fanboys only think in the Oscars! That's the main objective! They have a chance in the Animation category. Surely Disney is the favorite with whatever they will realese this year, tho.! As someone mentioned above I think voicework is not included in the Best Actor category! Weird that they wrote "Best Actor" and not "Voice Acting" or something like that! EDITED: This is the award I was thinking: www.behindthevoiceactors.com/btva-awards/2013/movies/I'm seeing he actually was the people's choice! There is also the Annie Awards for animation. They also have a voice acting category!

I just checked online and saw that they’re already selling tickets to Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch - which is apparently what they’re calling it here. Is that the same everywhere? Although it starts November 9, the first showings are the evening before. And there seems to be only one time slot with a regular screening. The rest are either 3D or some other fancy special-effects seating experience. I haven’t decided yet which tickets to buy.

It seems that’s the official title!
BC will be shooting Ironbark when they release this, I wonder how much publicity he will do fo this! It seems he recorded a few interviews beforehand but I guess he will go at least a pair of days to the USA to promote this.

I have to wonder how they choose where they place their tv commercials! I watched hours of family tv shows yesterday, but I only saw a Grinch ad during Cutthroat Kitchen on the Food channel - at 1:30 a.m.

I’ve bought my Grinch ticket! It’s for November 8 at 7 p.m., and it’s 3D because that’s all they’re selling that evening. If (when) I see it again, I’ll try to go to a regular screening.
