Some trivia:
I, of course, don't have any idea what an Aziraphale is! I'm not a fan of Neil Gaiman! His stories are good but I just don't like the prose! Anyway this was widely commented at the time. The late Terry Pratchett mentioned him as his dream cast during an interview at a Con or something. Years later some fans said Hiddleston would be great for the other role and there were some memes. Some cynics on Twitter made fun of those fans and discarded the idea as just mere crazy fan casting but well, I just wanted to say that the one fan casting BC in one of the leading roles was the creator himself!

I have rather the same perception re Neil Gaiman. I love the imagination evident, but they don't all quite hit the spot for me, and much of that is to do with both the construction and the prose that doesn't flow that well. I do have a bit of a soft spot for "The Graveyard Book", though, especially as actually read by Neil Gaiman. Such a brilliant basic concept and it is a bit of a gem.

If you ever watched Doctor Who, what did you think of The Doctor's Wife?

I have watched very little Doctor Who. I love British popular culture. Especially, the surrealist classical comedy but Doctor Who is a little unintelligible to me! I don't know why! Maybe I need to watch the old episodes first to understand the thing better. I imagine those eccentricities worked better in the 1960s!

Good Omens was brilliant. Not usually my sort of thing. Michael Sheen (Arisiphale) & David Tennant (Crowley) were terrific in the lead roles as an Angel and Demon respectively. I’m sure BC would have been great too. His voice does put in a very brief appearance as Beelzebub. The actual character was CGI.

Well, I think it was just good, I was expecting more. I had read the book which also wasn't for me that good. Perhaps it is because I love The Sandman so much that I'm always comparing any work by Gaiman with it. I loved Coraline though. My opinion back then: I watched all 6 episodes. I liked the first two even with their unnecessary explanations of things that were happening clearly on screen. I didn't like the third episode with all the flashbacks to Aziraphale and Crowley's interactions which break the story being told and take almost halph of the episode. I didn't like much Tennant and he looked a good part of the series visually very bad, imo. I don't know why they have to picture demons that way. I liked Sheen. The antichrist's upbringing wasn't really shown. If I remember correctly he had somehow changed the town and surroundings to fit his wishes, a bit is talked about the weather but it was more than that. What happened with the parents? The father looked particularly weird. The 4 bikers didn't look scary, they were like charicatures but not funny. BC's scene was so minimal and rushed! The best thing are Aziraphale and Crowley's relationship and the chemistry between the actors. The other characters have no real life. I have never read anything by Gaiman. Fantasy genre is just generally not my thing. So maybe I enjoyed it more because I was pleasantly surprised! Funny thing is I can’t imagine Sheen playing the Demon or Tennant the Angel but I could imagine BC in both roles.

I tried to read Neverwhere when it was announced that BC would play a role in the radio adaptation but I couldn't finished it. I thought it wasn't well written! I had enjoyed the adaptation of Coraline and I was expecting a better prose. I think he is a better storyteller than writer. If that make sense!
