There is a woman on BC’s Twitter hashtag who clearly is obsessed with TH posting a lot of incoherent stuff since the Friday screening. Right now she is saying that BC helped her with her groceries but that she is still engaged with “Tom” and will call the police on him or something! Where these people come from?!
I’m not even sure what’s the deal! She posted something weird, then another, then another the next day and now she is doing her groceries with BC! So bizarre! But there are a lot of bizarre Twitter accounts of people and/or “bots” fabricating casting news, guest to talking shows, random fan fiction, etc. so hopefully she is just a weirdo (or a bot) and not someone truly delusional but sadly we know there are a lot delusional people out there.
I don’t why I really like when I see he has a new project! I’m not even his fan! I mean, he is a very good actor but I barely have watched his stuff. I really liked him in The Night Manager but only in the first two episodes when he was playing a random British guy trapped in a complex and dangerous global political situation after falling in love with the wrong woman but then he just becomes James Bond and I didn’t like it! I prefer my spies awkward and bumbling! Lol
I think it’s because it seems he only plays Loki that I’m just glad he gets new ADULT roles!
I think he’s a good actor but has made some unfortunate role choices that didn’t really advance his career and the farce of the Taylor Swift “relationship undoubtedly did him some damage. Hopefully he will get some better roles and regather his momentum. He seems like a nice bloke.
Yes, he seems super nice! I think that’s another reason I’m glad to see he is doing new things! I think his new series, by TPOTD producers, will be released on Apple. I will try to watch it! This new one is also an Apple production.
I think he’s a good actor but has made some unfortunate role choices that didn’t really advance his career...
I think about him more like this:
His stage résumé is as impressive as the array of auteurs he’s made movies with: Joanna Hogg, Steven Spielberg, Woody Allen, Terence Davies, Jim Jarmusch, Guillermo del Toro, Ben Wheatley.
He worked with famous directors and BC didn't except till recently. His choices after Crimson Peak were the Kong movie (bad choice imo) and The Night Manager (which I personally didn't like but he got a GG). I think he could have stuck to indies considering he had already Loki and don't try the action hero route.
I must say that The Essex Serpent was very luckluster.
Yes, very perplexing he took that route. It feels like he was indeed trapped by Marvel.
He also seems prefers to do theater in his free Marvel time instead of other movies. I guess that's his "artistic" side but, yeah, he is a good example of a promising Marvel actor who doesn't seems to do much outside Marvel (at least film related! Again, he has a good theater career)
I hated that The Guardian published a review of his new series that kinda sounded like a person attack to him. They said he wasn't good but that it wasn't a surprise because it was him. C'mon! It's a serious publication and it's fair to criticize his latest work but the tone was very hateful and personal. It was just very childish!
(Also, I am so glad I am not a Hiddleston fan right now - I remember the epic meltdowns when Sophie was first pregnant. It was repulsive how so many long-time fans I followed became awful because of that).
