Very respectable showing for Dr Strange!

I have a really low tolerance for Robert Downey Jr, so I thought there was way too much of him in Endgame. I just don’t see the appeal of either the actor or the character he plays.
I was ok with everyone else, even the actors who were brand-new to me.
And I know that Captain Marvel hasn’t been around very long, but I really hate her hair. It’s the most unflattering frosted blond! I’m wondering if they insisted on making her blond to appeal to the men in the audience, who most likely wouldn’t care that the colour looked terrible on her.

I was beginning to feel like I was just about the only person who didn't really like RDJ as an actor. I mean, I don't hate him, but I can only take so much of him. There are a few of his films I like, but Iron Man isn't one of them. I tried watching it on a flight to Europe one time and just couldn't hack it. Really grated on my nerves every time he appeared on screen. I am sure he's a perfectly lovely person to be with and obviously BC has always spoken kindly of him, but his public persona is just too much for me. That being said, I know a LOT of people really connect to his Iron Man character and are greatly entertained by those movies.

I absolutely love RDJ! Sorry! I think he and his huge charisma made Iron Man and probably the whole Marvel business. But, at the same time, it's sad he just abandoned the indie and artistic films he used to do.
Who knows? Maybe stardom saved his life! I remember at certain point he was respected by film critics but also a big mess.
We will see what he do next. I think his imminent movies are also big blockbusters and once he said he was tired of small films, tho.

I love RDJ, too. Iron Man as a character isn't interesting at all, without him.
Captain Marvel's hair is blonde because that is how she was drawn in the comics. You know what happens if they try to change anything from the source material!

I know that people love him, and I’ve seen him in a lot of things over the years. But I don’t like the way he struts around like someone who knows that everyone loves him - in real life and in the movie. It looked like they wrote his role to go with this annoying trait.
Thanks - I didn’t know that! I still think the colour looks terrible on her. Surely they could have spend a few minutes with a good hairdresser getting it right!

RDJ's role I loved best was in Richard III a long, long time ago. I think he is a very good actor and has a lot of charisma. And he was good in the Endgame, which was a welcome novelty, because in the last couple of Marvel films he gave an impression, to me at least, of being very bored of Iron Man and putting a minimal effort into playing it.

Aw, I love RDJ, too. I absolutely adore his cocky smugness, and I’m pretty sure it’s mostly an act for the public. He does it with a little aside wink, so you know he knows it’s a joke. I find it refreshing when someone is just wallowing in themselves in public, lol. Most of us (well, me) don’t have the guts to act like that.
Has anyone seen Fur? It was RDJ and Nicole Kidman, who was playing the photographer Diane Arbus, and he plays a man with that syndrome where you grow hair all over your body. It was really good.

I watched Fur! TBH I don't remember too much about it! But that's a good example of the edgy and eccentric little movies he used to do.
