I was thinking about how much Entertainment Weekly has changed over the years. I started subscribing to it after a free trial subscription years ago. The articles in the magazine were written by experts who were also fans.
A typical movie review would have had an analysis of every aspect of the movie. There would have been comparisons to the director’s previous movies. There would have been bits of behind-the-scenes interviews with others involved with the movie. Most of what I read went right over my head. I considered not extending my subscription because it seemed to be meant for people in the industry and not for casual readers like me. But after reading their reviews, I felt smarter! Even with a negative review, there wasn’t a meanness or snobbiness about it. It was the same way Roger Ebert did his reviews - scholarly, intelligent, knowledgeable, entertaining.
I guess these days anyone with internet access is a film critic, so there’s so much competition out there to stand out. What a shame!

That was from a year ago, in Hong Kong? Seoul? Can’t remember where, but I remember that fabulous jacket.

He and the others "dead" characters are alive, of course! But apparently he, Spiderman and Black Panther have 5 minutes cameos each. So not enough Benedict on screen! The tragic plotlines involve the old characters. The new kids are all good and safe at the end. I haven't watched it but I haven't watched Infinity War neither. I just read what others are saying.

I just want him to be somewhere in the movie, otherwise there’s no point in sitting there for 3 hours.

With my luck, I'll go to the bathroom during BC's 5 minutes.
