Well, fanboy sites seem to really liked it. More mainstream sites are slightly mixed. They said it's fun but messy. The Telegraph gave it 2 stars out of 5 to the first episode.

I actually think this prediction is pretty realistic: www.awardscircuit.com/2019/06/14/emmy-circuit-veteran-film-actors-out-in-front-of-the-lead-actor-in-a-limited-series-tv-movie-race/Agreed Brexit hasn't been hyped at all and I don't think HBO is really pushing it. Interesting enough they are also letting out to Hugh Grant in their list of possible nominees because they think he is losing momentum, especially after losing against BC at the BAFTAS. This reminds me that AVBS wasn't nominated to that Edinburgh Television Festival award and I wondered if PM would had made better with early awards, including the Americans, if they would had competed first at the BAFTAS. It's until now that PM is gaining traction! It also shows how awards are very frivolous and suffer of short attention span!

That must have put a bit of a dent in the HBO advertising budget!

I was reading an article online yesterday, and a “for your consideration” ad for Modern Family popped up in the middle of it. It had me wondering why I wasn’t seeing those ads for Brexit, too.
If it does get nominated, I wonder if Benedict will do any campaigning? He didn’t do any promotions for it when it first aired, but maybe he’ll do it now.

I think it will depend on just how cramped his schedule is. I have a feeling there is a lot of "non-obvious" (out of the public eye) work that is involved with SunnyMarch, as a co-owner and producer, which a lot of fans might not think about when they say things like "What is he doing in the fall? He hasn't got any filming or promotion to do?". Plus he always seems involved with a lot of "bits and bobs" stuff that seem like short-term commitments, but collectively take up time too (like charities, cameos, commercials, voice overs, etc.).

Also he could be still shooting scenes for 1917...or not. That production is being very secretive! Anyway, it seems he is in the UK.
About the ad, they are actually very common. It seems HBO suscribed it which it's good but sincerely I don't see it having a lot of chances. There are a lot of very hyped new shows.
BC rarely has campaigned for his TV shows. He, of course, have done a lot of press but giving interviews or participating in events near the awards just for Patrick Melrose, which he produced and was strategically released near the important dates.
