I watched episodes 1, 2, and 6 last night. It was sort of Ho hum. I liked the premise, but it seemed to be trying too hard to be madcap and odd, and just ended up feeling disjointed. It reminded me a lot of the filmed version of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy in that I wanted it to be fun, but it was unsatisfying in a bunch of ways. It really pulled a lot of famous actors. I haven’t seen Claire Forliani in years! David pulled out his Bill Nighy, and Michael was surprisingly boring. Ben’s part was only about 6 sentences. I’d give it about a 6.5. Not sure I’m going to bother watching the other episodes. Too bad.

I will try to watch it during the weekend. Some people seems to really love it but a few established critics are much more cynical about it. THR loved it, tho.
Also I have seen Neil Gaiman making fun of critics that gave it a negative note! That was surprising! He seemed very a level-handed guy and considering he is a popular author I would have thought that he was familiar with negative reviews.

I wanted to read it again before watching the series but I couldn't. Funny you mention Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy because for me it more or less was the same. I'm going to watch it anyway.

Don’t you actually have to watch all the episodes in order for it to make sense? I can understand if it didn’t interest you after the first two episodes, but maybe watch the rest?
A couple of weeks ago, I decided to start watching Call the Midwife on Netflix. A friend of mine loves the show and kept telling me to watch it, so I had watched a couple of random episodes on tv and thought it was ok. But watching it from the start, and in order, was a lot batter and made more sense. Of course, now that S8 is airing on tv, I’m starting to dislike the new characters they keep trying to introduce. I think that if I had gone months or a year between seasons, my reaction would be different. That might be the problem with Good Omens. Would it be better if we viewed the episodes the old-fashioned way - a week apart?
I, myself, am in no rush to see it because I’m not a fan of action/adventure/fantasy/sci-fi. But I will watch it eventually!

It doesn't have enough BC for me. I'll probably skip it.

At that point I had it all figured out anyway and didn’t much care, lol. But, folks should watch it and see for themselves! My opinion is only mine. 😃
