I love cats. They are the most interesting little creatures and really quite smart. Very good at communicating with humans which is fascinating when you think about it.
My Binky let me know pretty quickly that she didn’t want a bowl of water, she wanted to drink out of a glass. And then she didn’t want it on the floor she wanted it by the window. And then she started drinking out of *my* glass, so now we just share one glass I keep full all the time. It’s pretty smart, actually, because she now gets the freshest water in the house.
I mean, they developed meowing *just* to communicate with humans and have a repertoire of several hundred different types of meows. Dogs, (I think), only have about a dozen different barks, unless you include Huskies, who are nearly talking already, lol.
I know Louis Wain is supposed to be a cute, throw away kind of movie, but I’m really looking forward to it. Ben’s so good at infusing meaning and depth into all his projects, so I know no matter how “cutesy” this ends up being, there’ll still be lots to think about. 😍

This guy met Nick Cave and asked him why he didn't act more.
I searched H.G. Wells and Louis wain and found that Wells supported an appeal for Louis Wain in 1925.

Nick Cave is a declared fan of Louis Wain, too. This is a great news! I love Nick Cave. Someone remember the photo of him, John Heard and BC together?

I was thinking that apart from the two main characters we still doesn't know who is exactly playing who. At least officially. Here are a few actors we know who they are playing but that weren't officially announced.
Aimee Lou Wood is Claire Wain (see Press)
Nick Cave is HG Wells (see above)
Asim Chaudhry is Herbert Railton (https://www.curtisbrown.co.uk/client/asim-chaudhry/cv)
Siobhan McSweeney's is Dr Cooke (https://www.ahatalent.co.uk/actor/siobhan-mcsweeney/)
Stewart Scudamore is Dr. Quantock (https://waringandmckenna.com/clients/stewart-scudamore/)
Alice Lowe is Beryl (https://www.independenttalent.com/actors/alice-lowe/)
EDITED Searching for CVs help me to discover that Louis Wain's working title was "Sea of Ships"

Will we ever get to see this movie - or any other movie?? The idea of sitting in a crowded movie theatre to watch a movie on a giant screen seems like so strange now. I’m tired of looking at my tv and iPad!

The other day I watched a report on the Deutsche Welle about people in Germany going to drive-in cinemas around the country. A few of them got special permission considering people would buy tickets on Internet and there wouldn't be any contact between audience members nor workers because audiences would be all the time inside their cars. Apparently tickets sold out quickly!
We are social animals so I doubt people would stop going to cinema once this thing ends!

Our local paper has been advertising a couple of drive-in theatres that are open, too. I didn’t even know they existed here! They seem to be showing children’s and family movies only, though.
