Flowers is still available on Channel 4 in the UK. At some point, I was able to get into Channel 4 and watch something, but I just tried it now and it won’t work for me any more. Somehow, I still have my account there and can sign in, but then it knows I’m not in the UK and stops working.

I can't remember now which streaming service I saw Flowers on. Maybe Crave? But it might gave been Netflix. It was a while back.

It was when there was available an extension you can add to the browser and watch UK tv. Good times.

I love that they included him but TBH I don't understand the obsession with awards and the people using them as a measure of being relevant in Hollywood. They aren't and I don't think anyone outside those fans obsessed with them think they are THAT important for a career. I mean yes, BC was nominated many years ago but he not just did superhero movies after it, he actually did some of his best work since then... for TV productions! It kind of bothers me that not just in this very nice article but a lot of award pundits seems to be just ignoring The Hollow Crown, Patrick Melrose, Brexit and even the more discreet The Child in Time! Those were great and daring performances in productions that were better than a lot of formal movies! He didn't disappeared after doing TIG or only did Marvel stuff. He worked very hard in small and daring projects that weren't designed to win Oscars! Unthinkable, I know! And I still can see some award pundits writing he is desperate for one when he dares to do a conventional and accesible film for the big screen!

Here's the relevant part (but the rest of the article is worth reading too) -
Film: “Louis Wain” (Amazon Studios) Role: Louis Wain
The charm of Benedict Cumberbatch continues to take over the world, and with his next project as English painter Louis Wain opposite Claire Foy and Andrea Riseborough, another strong outing may be in store. It’s been seven years since Cumberbatch was nominated for Morten Tyldum’s “The Imitation Game,” and after playing in the superhero genre for a good amount of time, the British actor has also been dipping into the producer realm, which could add even more projects to the mix.
Directed by: Will Sharpe
Written by: Will Sharpe, Simon Stephensen
Synopsis: English artist Louis Wain rises to prominence at the end of the 19th century for his surreal cat paintings.
Also starring: Claire Foy, Andrea Riseborough, Toby Jones
Other projects in 2021: “The Power of the Dog” (dir. Jane Campion), “Untitled Spider-Man 3 Sequel” (dir. Jon Watts)

Yeah, I had already posted it above but because I'm never satisfied I actually criticized it even when it's actually a very nice piece! Lol I thought they shouldn't ignore his recent TV work which it's brilliant and daring. It shows much better who he is as an actor than his popular movies.
Today, I saw the tweet and posted it again because this time he is mentioned in it!
But yeah, it's great they included him! They did three list. The one about the most exciting films was populated by blockbusters and big names. They mentioned one of "his" 2021 films but it was Spiderman 3; the one about directors is in TPOTD thread because they included Jane Campion and now they included him with Louis Wain in the one about performances.
EDITED I just remembered something that bothered me about the directors list: there are a lot of projects by actors debuting as directors. I don't doubt a lot of the m would do a good work but they are novices, why people, apart of their fans, would be excited if they still don't know their work in that area!?!
That's all! Very cool that they included BC and Jane Campion, tho.!
