I'm ALMOST sure that we are looking at Peter on that Instagram stories image. Even the place looks like the location! We will see!

I read through the rest of her biography, and I came across her role in an episode of The Brokenwood Mysteries. I actually watched that episode yesterday! I recently discovered the series and it’s pretty good (I can’t stand the country music that plays throughout, though!)

I don't remember a Georgina from the book!
I have the book with me right now and quickly glancing through it. I found a scene between Rose and the young maid that I didn't remember! The young woman is called Lola. Maybe she is played by McKenzie.
Also I was thinking that Frances Conroy could be playing Mrs. Lewis, the cook. It's a prominent role and probably the plot is heavily centered in the Burbank's house and it's inhabitants, considering they built an actual big house for the film!

Do you think Georgina could be their mother? I don’t remember her being referred to by name in the book, but they might need a name for her in the movie. And it would make sense that George was named after his mother.

I also thought about it! We will see!
EDITED Although she looks slightly young to play BC's mother!

She’s only 11 years older, but if he’s playing 5 years younger and she’s playing 5 years older, it works out.

Phil is 40 so BC is playing *just* 3 years younger! Jesse Plemons is doing 7 years older and I'm still in shock that he is only 31!
If she is playing BC's mom and Kirsten Dunst is playing the mother of Kodi Smit-McPhee (of course she does!) then I wonder if social media "feminists" would protest the film as they did when it was announced that Jennifer Jason Leigh would play BC's mother in Patrick Melrose, even when most of her time on screen she was in her mid 50s playing the mother of a 8 years old version of BC's character. Spoiler: they won't protest it!

So if Benedict is playing three years younger and the actress playing his mother plays three years older, that would put her character at 17 when she had Phil. Women got married really young back then, didn’t they? Years ago - when I was 18 - my grandmother told me not to be worried that I wasn’t married yet (I wasn’t worried, and I’m still not married). She said that everyone had given up on her as an old maid when she finally got married and had her first child at 29 in 1938.
And I was just reading the other day that Bea Arthur was actually one year older than Estelle Getty, who played her mother on the Golden Girls.

Loretta Lynn got married at 14, had her first baby at 14, and had 3 more babies over the next 6 years. Ten years later she had twins. Yikes! 😬 Children raising children. In the Country Music documentary that aired recently she talked about what a blessing the pill was for all those child brides in Appalachia b/c they all had like 12 kids, and the pill gave some power and control back to the women. Her song “The Pill” was really controversial at the time, but she was always a rebel.
All of this policing over the ages of actors is pretty ridiculous to me. The only thing I care about is does it work on film? Is it believable? Oh, and I hate it when the man looks 55 and his wife/girlfriend looks 23, unless the age difference is a plot point. They’re doing less of that now, I believe, thank god.
