I don't know how this is going to look. I never know how to post a thread. Is this a joke?

The whole thread is hilarious, although some people who haven’t seen the movie yet were not happy about the spoiler (Benedict showing up at the end)

The thread is hilarious. Most get the joke and are joining in. Some are arguing. And there’s even a couple of people complaining that it’s terrible toward Benedict (I don’t see why) mostly it is good fun though.

It seems a few people really thought it was real! I just read a conversation between a Mexican director and a sound engineer speculating if a director wanted to help another director friend to win his Oscar posting these kind of fake rumors on social media! Then someone told them "c'mon, it's clearly just a joke!" and the sound engineer deleted his tweets! It seems they really believed it was some kind of complot!

It's insane how a simple joke inevitably ends like a negative issue on social media. My favorites are people angry with the "fact" that BC was paid so much for just waiting in a room meanwhile there are poor people that work so hard their whole lives for nothing or that too many indie films could had been made with that money!!!! LOL

That one tiny scene with Benedict is literally in every single ad for the movie, and yet people are still upset at the casting being spoiled. Before seeing the movie, I read absolutely nothing about it other than what the movie itself was advertising. Afterwards, I went back and read the tweets and comments and reviews.

I can't believe that anyone would take that tweet seriously.
As for the people upset with being "spoiled"... it's pretty obvious to me that this only proves that some on social media just WANT to be angry about ANYTHING. It's not like BC's performance was a surprise. Like mllemass said his face and name has been plastered all over the advertising for this film, so really what's the problem?
