It's one of the responses to that tweet. I haven't seen the movie; is his cameo distractingly highlighted, or something?

I haven't watched it neither but I'm sure he is just one hater. Yes, there are comments that Mendes gives "big" introductions to the stars making cameos IN GENERAL (apparently a lot of them are first shot with their backs to the camera before revealing their faces, for example) and a lot of people seem to be surprised or fascinated with BC being there near the end (there are a few comments describing reactions of the audiences when they recognize him and for a few people his cameo is similar to Matt Demon in Saving Private Ryan or Interstellar. I guess that's why a few are moaning about it being a spoiler). The decisions aren't his but a) Sam Mendes who according to most comments about it made sure people noticed all those men are VIP actors and b) his fame! He is along Colin Firth the most recognizable face and some people actually think his participation is a big reveal! (Richard Madden will be a big star soon but he is not there yet!)

In one of the early reviews, the reviewer said that the celebrities popping up during the movie were distracting. But the other reviews I read didn’t say that. In fact, the other reviews either didn’t mention who the celebrities were, or didn’t say where they showed up in the movie. I’m wondering if the “spoiler” some people are complaining about is due to them not recognizing Benedict or his voice in the trailer and ads. I don’t think my sister would have known it was him if I didn’t talk about him constantly (ha!). Just because we here always know what he looks like, I’m sure most people last saw him as Sherlock or Doctor Strange, and he looks and sounds different in 1917.

That guy sounds like an idiot. Actually, it sounds like neither one of them actually watched the movie. The first guy complains earlier that the trailer gave away an important plot twist that spoiled the movie for him. Huh? Unless he’s referring to Benedict showing up at the end, there were no plot twists spoiled in the trailer or in any of the reviews or interviews about the movie.
