That set photo reminds me of the old Sherlock ones, with BC in a puffy coat over his long Belstaff one. It always looked like he was wearing a skirt.

Jesse Plemons really looks like Philip Seymour Hoffman.

There was an entire episode of the Brokenwood Mysteries about steampunking - which I’d never heard of before and is apparently an actual thing! And that show is set in New Zealand. I still don’t know what it is, other than a reason to dress up in those costumes.

Steampunk is sort of HG Wells + goth + mysticism + science + cog machines + owls. It’s really popular, has been for at least a decade. Definitely a look.

They filmed yesterday at Dunedin's Railway Station. The ODT has a video:

It seems to me the stars of the scene are the old couple so I guess they are the Old Lady and the Old Gent. Also the hat partially covers the woman's face but I think she is Frances Conroy. Not 100% sure, tho.
So the shooting hasn't finished yet maybe we will have more external scenes. There are a few important scenes in the town, including the ones of the cattle drive. Although that scene should need a lot of coordination and could be difficult to do so who knows? Maybe they will do it on a studio at Auckland.
