A few minutes ago I saw a clip of his series about parenting on France 24, they were recommending it.

A longer interview with Martin, where he talks about the different roles he’s had. He talks about Sherlock at around 7:30.

Another interview about Breeders. Martin says that there are 10 episodes, but he hopes there will be more. This worries me! What about more Sherlock? He wasn’t asked about it, unfortunately. The segment begins at around 38:00. podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/pilot-tv-podcast/id1435481214?i=1000467897740By the way, I understand that Martin is doing all this promotion because he’s involved in creating the series, but couldn’t he and Benedict have done more interviews to promote Sherlock? I think they did one British morning show together, but certainly no American talk shows.

Honestly, Sherlock was on PBS here and they just don't do promotion like the cable channels and major networks.

But PBS constantly promoted Downton Abbey!

I think they didn't promoted it too much together because they quickly got very busy with different stuff. Freeman was attached to The Hobbit movies (he was lost in the wild part of New Zealand as BC is right now but for years!) and BC was doing everything everywhere. Also Freeman clearly doesn't like to participate in certain kind of events like cons or fan meetings so meanwhile you could see BC hugging, kissing or just being together with Andrew Scott, Louise Brealey or even Lars Mikkelsen, there is very little of Freeman with his co-stars in general.

The best I hope for is another special at some point. The opening scene: John trips lightly up the stairs to 221b, only to find Sherlock and Molly making out on the sofa. ”Get a room, you two!” he shouts. ”We have a room, John,” Sherlock replies. “Which we were just going to use until you came along.” ”But there’s a MURDER,” John says. “Not my problem,” Sherlock shrugs, taking Molly’s hand and leading her into the bedroom. 😁

As far as I’m concerned, every Sherlock episode has been special! It doesn’t matter to me what they do with the story, as long as they continue to do the show until Benedict wins a Bafta for it.
