I saw this picture on a German site. It isn't anywhere else. I tried to see if it has to do with some version of the book but found nothing. When are we going to have a poster?
Searching for more information I found this article on Guantanamo, a guard called Wood and Salahi. I still didn't read it entirely because it is long and also I fear the torture part so I'm going to read a bit it each day. I hope it wasn't already posted. I don't see Wood in the cast list on Imdb. www.newyorker.com/magazine/2019/04/22/guantanamos-darkest-secret

Haha I never thought of doing that. I noted the "Sensacine" in the corner but I had already forgotten the German site's name. I searched again for it and now I think they just stole all from Sensacine, they use the same photos, too. Edit: they are all the same. I sometimes used Allociné. It has better pics. It's not the poster. Just a generic image: www.sensacine.com/peliculas/pelicula-267677/They have the cover of Don Wislow's book for The Power of the Dog! www.sensacine.com/peliculas/pelicula-274038/It's very early for a poster or other pr stuff. I can see Disney or other big film company publicizing franchises very quickly but not this film. I don't remember but I don't think this has an American distributor yet. I remember Jodi Foster was at the AFM trying to sell the rights of some territories.

There was a post on Jonny Lee Miller’s Instagram, I think, where he mentions he was trying to read Winslow’s book... but his cat kept demanding attention LOL and at first glance I’d wondered if he would be working with BC again. But I think it was completely unrelated, different book about some wartime thing, different project, even though the title was the same.

Here's the JLM post... cute kitty
The Jane Campion film is based on a novel by Thomas Savage, a completely different story I think.

Here’s the blurb from Amazon:
From the New York Times bestselling author of The Cartel comes an explosive novel of the drug trade that takes you deep inside a world riddled with corruption, betrayal, and bloody revenge. The prequel to The Cartel, and set about 10 years earlier, The Power of the Dog introduces a brilliant cast of characters. Art Keller is an obsessive DEA agent. The Barrera brothers are heirs to a drug empire. Nora Hayden is a jaded teenager who becomes a high-class hooker. Father Parada is a powerful and incorruptible Catholic priest. Callan is an Irish kid from Hell’s kitchen who grows up to be a merciless hit man. And they are all trapped in the world of the Mexican drug Federación. From the streets of New York City to Mexico City and Tijuana to the jungles of Central America, this is the war on drugs like you’ve never seen it.

The Power of the Dog from Winslow is about the war on drugs.
THere is a movie about it "in development". Also, the writer and producer, Shane Salerno, is writing the script of The Cartel, a tv series based on the
book.
There is a third book called The Border that is the conclusion, at least for now.
One of the characters of the trilogy, Keller, is an agent of the DEA.
I think perhaps JLMiller is going to be in one (or both) of those, probably Keller?

Yes, it's about the war on drugs in Mexico and apparently it's very popular! A lot of people mix both projects and think Jane Campion is doing a film about Mexican narcos with Cumberbatch and Dunst! The best think is that they all think it's great! No one is moaning about whitewashing or anything. No "wokeism" there! They are just happy that their favorite book is being made a film. LOL
I think the project is now a mini series so I guess there won't be problem with the titles.
