I saw this yesterday: The Glorias won't be a theatrical release. It still can compete for the Oscars but it's kind of interesting that until now, The Courier is still scheduled for the big screen. I wonder how they decide these things! The Glorias didn't have too good reviews. I think The Courier/Ironbark is going for the boxoffice. Being a dad movie and all.  |

I'm actually hoping that it gets released on streaming first because then I would get to see it sooner. Even though cinemas are all opening up cross-country here in Canada I personally won't be going any time soon so streaming is a much preferred option for me. And "Dad's movie" or not, The Courier is EXACTLY my kind of film! 😊❤👍

I just hope they have a cinema release at some point - I don’t care when - for all his movies. We shouldn’t be deprived of seeing him on a giant screen!

Good to know but unfortunately I won't be one of those who will be venturing out to the cinema in the dead of winter. Too risky for high risk people like me. But at least it will mean the film will have a cinema exposure before it goes to DVD or streaming.

But at least it will mean the film will have a cinema exposure before it goes to DVD or streaming. I feel the same way, so I’m hoping the world will be back to normal by then. A friend of mine told me the other day that she’s already gone to movies a few times since the theatres opened - which was a surprise to me because she has her 95-year-old mother living with her. She said there have never been more than 5 people in the theatre, so she thinks it’s safe. I told her that I don’t feel comfortable risking it. And besides, there aren’t any movies to tempt me so far. |
