Maybe if Hollywood started making better films (instead of CIA agents going rogue to avenge the murder of their wives thrillers, raunchy comedies, bland, insipid romantic comedies, never-should-have-been-made remakes of better movies, horror/gore, beyond stupid ADHD kiddie stuff, or one-note super human action flicks with teen age protagonists), they might get somewhere in the awards categories, too. ☺️

This comment! Someone remember that film? I think it was her directing debut and I haven't watched it probably since when it was released but I remember it was a lovely little movie.

Multiple mentions in BAFTAs long lists (including one for BC's performance),

This Variety article is nice because it explains the voting process for each category,

Really?
I remember BC was included in a long list for TTSS in 2012!
Maybe they are talking just about the technical ones but I guess that when they talk about diversity they refer mainly to the acting and directing categories.

Well, maybe the theory of the difference of reception between Americans and non-Americans is true.
It's the same names with the exception of him. The great Steve Yeun is the new one so no Delroy Lindo neither. At least they nominated him in supporting. I haven't seen that category nor his film so maybe.
EDITED Yep, there's not Lindo. Now the culprits are Gary Oldman and... Jared Leto who is another category but whatever!
