They do! I also think she looks slightly like a young Isabelle Adjani and I named those two actresses and because she was or is interested on French culture then I was being sycophantic or something!

Prasanna Puwanarajah who played Johnny in Patrick Melrose is there. Hopefully, BC will play himself in one of the episodes!

He’s the only actor I recognize! It’s good to see him again.

Actually there is another Patrick Melrose connection. Jack Davenport who plays the English version of Matthias is the original Patrick! He played the part in the film adaptation of Mother’s Milk!
I always post the trailer because it’s shocking that it’s based in the same book than the series!

I’m thinking that I would be pretty disappointed if BC is not one of the first guests! Cmon, it’s a British version and he is not busy right now! He has to be there!

mllemass You probably also know Jim Broadbent! He is one of those British actors who is in every imaginable film and for decades, from Harry Potter to Bridget Jones to Paddington to well, every kind of film! He is the most famous name there but I’m guessing he is the agent who, well, “goes” after the first episode!

Yes, I know Jim Broadbent well from the thousand times I’ve watched Bridget Jones. He’s not in the pictures posted and I didn’t read the names.
One of the comments to the Deadline article compares Extras to Call My Agent, but Extras is show business from an actor’s point of view. There’s also 30 Rock, which is from a producer’s point of view. And my favourite - Episodes - is told from the writers’ point of view. They all poke fun of difficult show biz people.

Extras was great and 30 Rock was sometime very funny but both are very cynical compared to the French version of Call My Agent! We will see what the British do but the best part of the series was that the characters could be treacherous, nasty and amoral and the series still didn’t judged them. They were just human like everyone else. Nowadays, the USA and the UK are so moralist that any minor flaw is seen as a proof of the most vile unforgivable evilness so it would be interesting to see what they do with this! I hope not Extras II, even when I also enjoyed that but that’s not the nature of Call My Agent.
I remember an old article about the differences between different versions of The Office. Apparently in the French one, they were never showed working; in the UK, sometimes they worked; in the USA one, they were actually very productive. There were other details but that’s what I remember because it was funny! Lol

I just finished it. A truly binge-worthy show and I can see why everyone here is a fan! I would have loved a BC episode (on the UK version, I suppose). It would have been fantastic!

Started watching this again and immediately wishing (yet again) that we could've had a Benedict episode! He would have been brilliant in it.
I think there's meant to be a 5th season coming out soon. It'll be interesting to see if the feel is the same after such a long break. Ben and Martin could step right back into the roles even with long gaps between seasons but, I often think they're the outliers and other productions suffer from long gaps.
