TBH I think in both cases it's just click-baity sites speculating about stuff they don't know or are sure.
Spider-Man is a massive character so no matter what it would be a success. The fact that it was very well-received and that it's now produced by Marvel itself help but like Batman, he is invulnerable to critics. It will be the next Iron-Man? It could be if we talks about popularity. I don't think he will be a leader in the stories, tho. for the simple reason he is just a kid and apparently this is more obvious in this movie. Also there is the little problem of the Sony contract. Yes, Marvel is involve now but it still is a Sony propriety so I can't see Marvel centered in that character like they do in Iron-Man.
About Doctor Strange, I think he is a solitary figure in the comics (although I think he is member of some clandestine Avengers and the Illumination or something. I have to ask my friend! ) so just based in the comics, he doesn't seem an obvious leader.

I suppose this is kind of a review. This guy is re-watching all the MCU movies and man, does he hate Dr. Strange (the character, not the movie) but it does contain this interesting tidbit: Dr. West (the other doctor, who mis-diagnosed Dr. Palmer's patient, and had to cover his watch while Strange removed the bullet) is a recurring character in the comics. filmschoolrejects.com/marvel-rewatch-doctor-strange/

This is one of the ongoing goofy reviews they do on Jimmy Kimmel, so there really aren’t any spoilers.
