Thanks for posting this! I don’t know how this podcast went unnoticed back in August when it was done. Usually John Finnemore himself re-posts stuff that’s brought to his attention, but these guys didn’t tag him. He probably still doesn’t know about this podcast!
It’s always lovely to hear people discussing and gushing over Cabin Pressure! Way back when the episodes could be found on YouTube, I recommended it to a lot of people, and they loved it just as much as I did.
These guys seemed to have discovered CP because they were planning on doing their own radio show, so it surprised me that they didn’t do a bit of research about it. They praised John Finnemore for the brilliant writing, but they didn’t seem to know that he played Arthur. They also criticized the use of canned laughter and discussed how and if it should be used, so they didn’t know that CP was recorded in front of a live audience - which really annoyed me! I went to their twitter account and found where they first posted the podcast, and thankfully someone replied and set them straight.

I had listened to it in August, that's why I thought it was alredy here. I forgot to post it then, I guess.
According to what they said someone asked them to listen to the show and do an episode commenting on it. They clearly didn't researched much, they said they were going to try to follow Finnemore's work.
I liked they loved the show so much.

This was delightful, despite their clear (and cringeworthy) lack of research. Yes, their enthusiasm carried the day but I wish they had gone a little deeper into some of the themes, like how boredom is a powerful generator of frivolity, games, and leads to deeper human connections, but o well.
Now I want to listen to CP again! 😃
