We’re hovering around 0°C right now. When it gets really cold (like -20°C and colder), it doesn’t snow because it’s sunny and the sky is bright blue. On those days, there’s no dirty slush and the snow looks so clean and white. That’s when you can enjoy how pretty everything looks from inside, looking out the window.

We've got our first really big snowfall for the season. Still expecting more snow later today. And of course, since we live right on the lake, we've got fairly strong north winds blowing so it makes for whiteout conditions! All the screens on the windows are clogged with snow that has been blown around so it makes it difficult to even see outside.
We've already shoveled once yesterday but you'd never know it!
We're also still trying to clean up the house from all the basement renovations (the cement dust is just a bugger to clean!!) So most of our day today will be spent doing floors (washing the tiles and vacuuming) and shoveling snow.
And for some reason the house internet is down! So no TV! Sigh!
Hopefully that will be up soon!
Ah, winter! 😊

Snow!

Our internet wasn’t working this morning, either! I tried not to panic and did what they’ve always told us to do in that situation - unplug everything, wait, and plug it all in again. It finally worked.
Our snow isn’t exactly a storm. It’s very calm and quiet, but it’s just going to spread out over 3 days, rather than dumping all the snow over 8 hours like the last time. All the schools are closed, so other businesses will probably also be closed.
I’ll go out for my first shovelling at around noon, before our mail usually comes, to make it a bit safer for our mailman.
