Probably some melodramatic stupid comments on Twitter! Or some conspiracy theory! Who knows?
I think BC would be great in a Hitchcock kinda production and interesting enough a good number of people reacted positively to the idea of him doing a The 39 Steps version even when a) there’s always a massive meltdown when it’s announced that someone will make a remake/new version of a classic and b) the last movie made by Netflix also based on a book adapted by Hitchcock wasn’t well received.
Anyway, I don’t think this is an imminent project. Both Edward Berger and BC seems to be busy doing other projects.
