I’m thinking about this and I bet Phil is nice - to the men that work for him. He hangs out at the bunkhouse, they seem to adore him, he gets pleasure from being with them, they’re doing the manly ridin’ and ropin’, after all, which are things Phil admires…

I guess he was Phil but Benedict controlled him a little so he wouldn’t be an idiot with crew people. You know, like other actors doing METHOD!!!

Kodi has very intense eyes. I'm always annoyed that films needing a young version of BC cast people who look nothing like him, but I hope they keep Kodi in mind going forward. I can see some similarities.

I think their similar features should be considered in the future interpretation of the film! Since I read the book and knowing Thomas Savage bio, it’s clear to me that Savage put a little of himself not just on Peter but also on Phil, even when he is supposedly based on his step-uncle or at least, on the impression he had when he was very little about a late step-uncle.
