About Christmas songs. . .
When I first started working, a million years ago, we had a work retreat weekend. One of my co-workers had brought along some cassettes for us to listen to in the evenings. At the end of the weekend, she left behind one of her cassettes - which we hadnāt played - so I took it with me to return to her. It was a Wham cassette, and since it was a long drive home, I decided to play it in my car. One of the songs on it was Last Christmas, and I fell in love with it instantly! I set my cassette player to play it on a loop, so for more than an hour, I only listened to Last Christmas.
This was way before the Internet, Amazon, YouTube or iTunes, so finding that song in a record store was nearly impossible. This was years before it was played regularly on the radio at Christmas each year. But I was in a little gift store one day, and the song played over the loudspeaker. I asked the owner whether they were playing a radio station, but he said no, it was a CD. He went off to check what it was called. He came back a bit later and handed me the CD. He said that his partner had made a mixed CD of Christmas ācocktail partyā music, so he was giving me that copy of it! As a gift! I would have been happy to buy it from it, but he wasnāt selling it. What a nice thing for a total stranger to do for me!
And I still love Last Christmas as much as I did the first time I heard it.

Oh that sounds absolutely gorgeous! I'm so happy for you! I hope I'm lucky enough to build a relationship based on mutual love and respect like yours someday. We don't see these healthy marriages often enough! <3 Thank you! Really he's my bestie and has been since the day we met! We just clicked right from the first moment we met. I know I'm lucky and Dano knows he's lucky too! But he's very low maintenance so it's easy living with him. You can probably tell I adore him! After 47+ years together we're still in our honeymoon stage!ā¤š„°š

My husband has had a recent obsession for Bruce Springsteen's "If I should Fall Behind" and various versions of "Ashokan Farewell",so that's what I'm listening to at the moment. And if he's not playing on the TV I can hear those two tunes in my head! Luckily I love them too, so play on Macduff! LOL!

Fraiser is one of my all time favourite comedy shows. It kind of spoiled me, so watching other supposedly funny shows for me just can't measure up IMO. We have all the dvds and rewatch them ever so often. I had the pleasure of actually meeting David Hyde Pierce in LA when he was performing in a play. And then Dan and I saw him again in New York when he was in his Tony and Drama Desk award winning performance in Curtains. I even have about 4 volumes of the written out scripts of Fraiser and a photocopy of one of the cast scripts. So you can tell I am a BIG fan! š¤£šā¤

Probably the funniest scene they ever had in Frasier - although there were many to choose from: Niles ironing his pants.

One of the comments with that ironing-pants scene said that Kelsey Grammer directed that episode, and they did it all in one take. He didnāt want to do it a second time because he didnāt think it could be funnier.
