The jacket makes me think of that bird lamp in his old flat, does anyone remember that? IIRC, it was something similar to this: cdn.apartmenttherapy.info/image/upload/f_auto,q_auto:eco,c_fit,w_730,h_497/at%2Farchive%2F01a19f95eb11427b55a67febe004af43a4bce1fb

Before he was married, Benedict was photographed once at an airport going to some Sherlock event, I think. We then got pictures of him over the course of a few days, and he wore almost the exact same things every day. People even searched online and found photos of him wearing those items going back many years. Ha! We speculated that that’s all he had thrown into his suitcase before leaving home. That doesn’t happen as much since he’s been married.
I recently re-watched a Sherlock episode on DVD with Benedict, Martin and Mark Gatiss doing the commentary. I had forgotten how hilarious it was! It was during that commentary that Benedict told the story about going to a job interview wearing his school shirt. And he said he still had it!

Remember when Daniel Radcliffe wore the same outfit on purpose when he went out so the photographers dogging him would get bored? 😂

Benedict lived somewhere else before this, didn’t he? I’m remembering him talking about living in an apartment in an ordinary building, where he had a tenant in the other apartment. Am I remembering that correctly?
I remember this house featured in the Daily Mail because that’s where he filmed his fabulous Ice Bucket Challenge videos - by far the best of any of those videos!

Yes, that’s right!
I remember being so jealous of his rooftop patio after seeing that video 😁

I think it is the same building. The DM article is from 2018, and says "the three bedroom property was originally divided into two flats before the actor converted them two years ago." He did have an (upstairs?) neighbor in the past, who he bought theatre tickets for. Remember that old interview that talked about him spending hours a day getting tickets for people? Then he bought the other flat and did a looooong renovation, planning to live there with a future family, only to move and start over again when he actually married.
Edit: it was a downstairs neighbor, the article says "Cumberbatch bought the top-floor flat in Hampstead for £475k in 2008 before parting with another £300k for the one-bedroom flat below two years later." That was the first year Sherlock was out.

Thank you, but I confess that I just found this avatar on the internet, and have intended to make a "surprising rice" one to replace it for years now. I'm always expecting the originator of the image to appear and tell me off, but it's been so long, I guess I'd have heard from them by now. It's probably how that red ribbon stalker found him. She left them on his house and car.
