The same independent artsy theatre that’s showing The Electrical Life of Louis Wain here this week has now listed TPOTD under “coming soon”. They have November 24 as the date, but there’s no other information, and it’s not on their calendar yet.
(I noticed that Louis Wain is now showing for an entire week rather than only 3 days, which they had scheduled originally.)

I don’t remember seeing a scar, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t there. When he was shown fairly close up, he was smearing mud on himself, so a scar would have been covered in mud. And in the other scenes, his body looked flawless to me! Also, they never mentioned anything about Phil having been wounded - other than cutting his hand.

Thank you. I was thinking that you’ve given me something to look for when I have the opportunity to pause the film while watching it! I can stop each frame to examine his bare skin up close. Ha! (For research purposes only, of course)

Don’t worry! The movie isn’t a puzzle you have to decipher. You just have to pay attention - meaning watch and don’t do anything else while you watch. But the movie is so interesting that you won’t want any distractions anyway. And then you’ll have plenty to think about long after the movie ends.
Also, the problem I have with Benedict’s movies is that I tend to only pay attention to him in a scene, so I often miss whatever was happening. I then have to watch it again to get the whole plot. So he’s actually the distraction that keeps me from paying attention to everything else! But that wasn’t the case with TPOTD or with Louis Wain, and I’m not really sure why. I think maybe in the past, I’ve been so worried about what film critics or even just viewers will say about him, and I want everyone to like him! I guess now I’m over that and don’t feel like I have to be so protective of him or worried about how he’ll do. I know now that he’s great and that everyone else will think so, too.

The movie theatre that showed Louis Wain has finally updated their November calendar, and TPOTD is there! They have it scheduled for November 24-28, with two screenings a day. The calendar after that is blank, so they might add more screenings.
(I deleted the other thread - I realized that I had posted it twice)

The theatre here has posted this very optimistic tweet about the upcoming screenings of TPOTD! Who wouldn’t want to see the movie that will win Best Picture Oscar??

TIFF is advertising the screenings at their theatre, and they’re using updated photos of Benedict in their tweet.
