So these are the lines BC refused to say.
It’s interesting because more than explicit, they are explanatory. BC and JC are right, it worked better without those two lines because he said all that and more just with his small smile after KSM asks him if they were naked.
Also it’s funny because it seems no one remembered it but in TIG, BC has a line explicitly describing the sexual act he was doing with the boy when they were arrested (yep, it was also a teenager!) but that film is not erotic at all so there are people out there sure that the homosexuality isn’t mentioned at all and that Alan Turing was presented as a straight man with a romantic relationship with Keira Knightly (that relationship was real, by the way. I mean with her character not Knightly herself!). Here the characters barely talk about the theme and it isn’t explained at all but it’s very present and extremely erotic.

I agree that it worked better without those lines. The line about the two of them going camping was moved to earlier in the movie, when Phil first had Peter sit in Bronco Henry’s saddle.
I had to laugh at another little change they had to make because the way it was written in the script didn’t make sense. The script said the Peter sat on the floor to roll the cigarette, but then it said he puts it to Phil’s lips. He had to be standing to do that!

As in the book they felt responsible of Phil’s death,
