I watched this new Swedish series tonight (dubbed into English). It’s only six half-hour episodes, so it’s a very easy watch.
It’s about a bumbling father-son police team investigating a bank robbery that turns into a hostage situation at an open house, on New Year’s Eve. It’s kind of like a bonkers Agatha Christie mystery, complete with a helpful Miss Marple-type elderly lady. After the first episode, we learn more about each of the hostages as the police interrogate them, searching for the robber who has disappeared.
There are very funny and ridiculous scenes mixed with very touching moments - and a nice message at the end.
(And they mention a sale at IKEA at one point, so now I want to go to IKEA!)
Has anyone else watched it?

Is this based on the book by Fredrik Backman?

I have not! The book has gotten mixed reviews in the various book groups I am in. It seems that you either love it or didn't love it (I don't want to say hate because that is too strong).
