I know I deleted the tweet claiming Dev Patel was the first non-white actor in a Wes Anderson film but I am still seeing others claiming the same. I doubt all of them are being sarcastic and the one that did was because he was making fun of those! It’s infuriating because they are claiming to fight for minorities when at the same time they are erasing the work of a lot of wonderful actors who happens not to be white and have had lead roles in Anderson’s films just to make a point. Also I hate when people claim something so obviously wrong and act like it’s true even when you can confirm with your own eyes that they are wrong. You know, gaslighting. It’s much worse when the purpose is, again, to negate the work of those that they are supposedly defending!
Another perplexing tweet by an “activist”, someone angry at the casting of Dev Patel! Somehow the guy is bothered that he is “the only Indian actor” being cast by Hollywood! He is Anita-racist but is campaigning for not giving work to a very successful British-Indian actor! I don know the intention but I laughed with someone telling him that “there is also Ben Kingsley” who, of course, was in the same image with Patel and co. He also doesn’t count as “non-white” by the racist wokes obsessed with celebrities bunch!

I saw this tweet,
But I found more interesting this other tweet,
He is one of the biggest Disney critics and wrote that wonderful article about how the company it’s mistreating Fox titles after they bought it. Most Anderson films are produced by Fox.
It’s ironic because there were a few of people furious at Anderson for accepting to work with Netflix.

I just watched this short that Wes Anderson did for Prada and it’s actually nice and lovely. Not like the awful one that Luca Guadagnino did for Valentino! Lol

I read the short story. It indeed has a Wes Anderson feeling. Dave Patel is totally playing Imhrat Khan! It’s a nice role!
I hope we could get some new info soon!
