I noticed some Twitter comments from people saying they weren’t able to buy a ticket using their credit cards. That’s what happened to me, too, one time - for a different UK event (maybe the ice bucket thing). But I called my bank and they allowed the transaction to go through. I think some foreign websites are automatically blocked by credit cards for being suspicious. If that happens to you - call your bank!

It depends on the card company, some automatically block everything that’s not from the country you’re in. I’ve got one that I just call first and they note the account and the charge goes right through, worked like a charm when I bought some perfume from France and a subscription to Vogue Italia.

Ooooo, fancy!
I’ve discovered, from my very non-fancy international purchases, that one of my credit cards is always accepted. I think it’s because it has a much lower credit limit. It only ever gets used when my Netflix and cable are automatically charged to it, so now I also use it for these other international online transactions.

I won't be able to watch this live because it's the same day as my luncheon with our friends and the Victorian tea jubilee event. And when that's over we're going to a local junior football game.
So I'm depending on you guys to fill me in and YouTube to give me the highlights!
I want all the oooohs! and awwwws! And I would appreciate it if someone kept an eye out for Sophie! 😘

Sophie is usually the announcer, isn’t she? But she’s read before, too. And she comes out at the end with everyone else.

It was about 15 minutes late in starting, so I spent that time trying different devices and computers. When it finally did start, I saw that I could be watching it on YouTube, instead. So I lost the first 5 minutes, and had to rewind to watch from the beginning - which I did. Here’s a blurry screenshot of the entire cast, with Benedict second from the left, and (I think) Sophie second from the right.  |
