Didn't realize he caught covid at the baftas. I never tried to figure that out because he'd been doing so many events that it could have been any of them. Good on him for joking about Smith.  He had COVID around the time he went to the BFI premiere, if I remember well, and I remember a few people got it at the BAFTAS but wasn’t he filming the Wes Anderson film by then? He got sick twice?! Anyway it was a shitty show. The comedian was awful and, of course, such a shame they didn’t recognized him when he deserved it! I know, I’m a fan! But professional critics were on his side, too, and we all know Smith award was a political gesture and it all sadly ended in an embarrassing moment weeks later at the Oscars. At least, Smith should had tried to enjoy *his* moment! |

I actually just read the first negative (3 stars out of 5) review for a Letters Live event ever! Lol! And it's another "cool" The Telegraph girl who castigates BC's fans for being BC's fans! You know like the idiot who got in trouble for writing a Hamlet review before time as "revenge" after arguing with a few fans on Twitter because the self proclaimed feminist moaned about the struggle of having to share physical space with those horrible female fans! She also centered her pre decided negative review on how dumb were BC's fans.
This one isn't that stupid but what's wrong with most of the audience being BC's fans? BC's fans aren't dumb, you know! And the British press does not need to be so condescending with female fans!
She also didn't liked that they included letters about liberal stuff like gay rights and environmental themes. Apparently, there were only two letters about it but those two were too much for her.
