I hope nobody is reading this in hopes of actual news about a new Sherlock season, because it's just a story about the silly dream I had last night!
There was a new season released, and BC was listed in the cast as "Benedict (Something) Cumberbatch-Hill." I don't remember the new middle name; it wasn't either of his real ones. Even while dreaming I thought "he has made his name even more unwieldy" and then "why didn't my BC fan group know about this name change?" LOL When I woke up, I realized this may have come from Tom Goodman-Hill, who filled in for BC in a Cabin Pressure episode.
So anyway, in the first episode, both Sherlock and John had vacated 221B. They were living in some large country estate house, with two unrelated women never before in the series, one of whom was pregnant. The first episode contained no mystery, just soap-opera-ish details about the pregnancy and baby. The new season was being advertised online with fanart cartoons of S&J with overly large heads and eyes. It had 5 or 6 episodes, the synopsis of each revealing Johnlock storylines such as S&J somehow ending up in a bathtub together, and John posing for a nude portrait (the episode title was 'THAT PORTRAIT???!!!") Worst of all, Sherlock's elegant style had been swapped for some kind of dri-fit red and white golf shirt! I opted not to tune in after the first episode, and was so relieved to wake up. 😀
