I just finished watching this series, and I really liked it! It’s French, but I watched it dubbed into English. I can’t figure out why Netflix decided on the title “Off the Hook”, when the French title is “Détox” - which is much better and more accurate. I think they probably meant to call it “Off the Grid”, but got it wrong.
it’s a comedy about two cousins who, for different reasons, decide to give up their screens to get their lives straightened out. It is was wacky and slap-sticky at times, but I thought it was very funny.
There are 6 half-hour episodes, so it was a fairly quick watch. The way it ended indicated that the two characters were off on another adventure, so there will probably be more episodes - although I don’t see how they’ll fit the screens/social media theme into another season.
