It’s a huge mystery how Netflix promotes things. I mean they just released Henry Sugar trailer when they will stream it in just a few days! I would be worried if it hadn’t already received acclaim at Venice and I also realized that they did the same with their last Adam Sandler movie, with his own daughter as the star of the film, and it not just was a hit (according to their system) but was very well received by critics. On the other hand, they released TPOTD trailer weeks before it premiered at Venice but also months before it was on stream and I remember they published photos of an already forgotten Sandra Bullock serious film when they were shooting it. Anyway, I saw they posted photos of a new Sofia Vergara series that they plan to stream in January. x.com/netflix_ca/status/1701974424998523226?s=61&t=zPi8LNXgo1ojcMDphmjG3gI checked and it was filmed exactly in January last year. A few of their productions are streamed exactly a year after their shooting. “Eric” began its shooting early last year in February. It would be nice if they announce something about it but again, who knows how Netflix works! There are also a lot of Netflix series waiting for a date (that’s one of the reasons I don’t think the strikes are hurting them too much! I checked their future productions and they just have a lot of stuff already finished and waiting for release). For starters, Sister also produced this comedy series, en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaos_(TV_series)It was filmed in August, 2022 but it still hasn’t a date. It’s already added on the Netflix site but without images nor a date. Then there is that Andrew Scott series about Tom Ridley which was made by Showtime but bought by Netflix. It sounds interesting! It was shot in 2021 but still without a date on Netflix. TBF this one was bought by Netflix much later but in theory it was already finished so in they could had have released it immediately after the buying. Anyway, I hope Eric is released much sooner than those two and that they do some promotion with some time.

OT but remember the Robert DeNiro mini series canceled by the strike? Well, it will resume and half of the cast is Eric cast!

Yes, I’m at home. I still can’t walk so I have home health come in 2 times a day to move me from bed to chair and back again, fix me food, fetch and carry, feed the cat, etc. I’m doing okay. Thanks for asking! 🤗

About the new series mentioned in the letter,
3 Body Problem is scheduled for late March. The first trailer was released on June!
Griselda was released today. The first teaser was released on September.
The Gentlemen will also be released on a March. The first trailer is from one week ago.
Avatar will be released late next month. Teaser is from November.
Cien Años de Soledad is not scheduled but it actually had a kinda bizarre teaser last year in August (it could had been filmed before the actual production, tho. That’s the impression I had). And nothing about Senna nor Eric apart of news and reports about the shootings.
So the scheduled productions are all from the first quarter of the year. Maybe the others are from the second one and we will soon have some teaser? Hopefully!
