The evening news was just talking about upcoming movies, and they showed a trailer for the new AYTGIMM movie! I guess Judy Blume turned down lots of offers over the years to turn her book into a movie, but she finally agreed. They mentioned Rachel McAdams playing Margaret’s mother, and Kathy Bates playing her grandmother. It comes out in April.
Did anyone else read the book? Or maybe you’re all too young . . .

I have heard about the movie. Mostly thanks to parodies of the title! I haven’t watched it nor read the book.

I have heard about the movie. Mostly thanks to parodies of the title! I haven’t watched it nor read the book. When I read it, back when I was maybe 11 or 12, I had taken it out of my public library. My friends and I were then very excited to see that our school’s library got it, but they removed it right away. Ha!

I thought there was an old TV adaptation but it seems I’m wrong! As I said I have heard about the book but mostly because the title! Even The Simpsons did a parody of it.
I actually thought it was something religious but reading the synopsis it seems it’s the opposite! Lol

I don’t remember the book being a such a slapstick comedy, but whatever! No, it’s not about religion, although religion is one of the topics that it covers.
It’s interesting that they have a brunette actress to play Margaret. I’m certain that the over of the book had an illustration of a blonde girl.
