A bit of fun. 
We all know that the industry awards are an absolute joke- *cough* Oscars *cough*, so I thought we could rectify that by handing out our own awards!
Without further ado, the winners of the 2023 Benedict Cumberbatch Diehard Fan Awards are....in no particular order....*drumroll*...
MagdaFR : Stealth Comedy award. She posts these one liners that seem like serious posts but turn out to be zingers! Never fails to crack me up!
sgev1977 : Cinephile award. There’s nobody more well-versed and up-to-date with every project and update, past or present! We will never know how you do it, but we suspect you have cloned yourself.
mllemass : Best Story time award. No matter how obscure the topic, she has a wonderful story related to it! Wanted to give you the 'touched BC's hand as he handed back her pen' award, but that's too many words to have engraved on the statue.
queenzod : Compassion award. Kindness personified! I always remember how she helped a random twitter user cope with her mother’s passing; aside from her daily setting an example of compassion towards anyone and everyone. You were a runner-up in the Best Fan Fic category, but got beaten out by the writer who depicted Watson as a cat who accompanied Sherl on his cases. What can I say, I like the mental image of Watson as a cat!
ellie Globetrotter award. The sheer number of countries visited made you a shoo-in! I also wanted to give you the coziest house award, because yours is my dream house, but I must abide by industry rules and it's one-award-per-fan, I'm afraid.
roverpup Family Linchpin award. The glue that holds them together, the advocate who will defend her loved ones to the very last! You were a runner-up in the Globetrotter category, but your unconditional love for Dan and Heather overshadowed the love of travel.
llminnowpea The Benedict award. That's right! Juggling a million projects at all times and allergic to rest, just like the great man himself!
onebluestocking Amazing Parent award. Gracefully navigating parenthood in this day and age means you’re made of stern stuff!
Hannah Lee Insight award! She doesn’t post often, but everything she says is profound.
sorcerersupreme : The Cloak award. Nobody will defend BC’s Dr. Strange as fiercely!
Myself: Participation trophy. I make a lot of noise, don't add much value, but nobody can deny that I'm participating, lol!
It was really hard to choose just one award for each person, and I'm sure I've missed people out, but this is just a start. Please join in!
