It seems they will show only Henry Sugar! So I was wrong! It’s not a long film! At least not what they will shown at Venice!
Anyway, good news! Such a shame that very probably BC won’t be at the premiere!

First photo,
I hope we could have a trailer soon!
EDITED Is Ben Kingsley actually playing Imhrat Khan and not the guru?! I mean he seems to be with the doctors there!

I saw the official list and poor Bradley Cooper! Well, not so poor! The film he directed and starred for Netflix was selected for the main competition but the question is will he go to promote it? Only as director? But he is also the main actor!
At least, most of the other films, including Henry Sugar have a star director who isn’t also an actor!
I hope the actors get what they want and the strike ends before the festival but apparently the studios still refuse to negotiate so things aren’t looking good.

I saw an idiot criticizing the color palette! Lol Obviously, it’s a Dicussing Film tweet comment! They really think they are smart and know more about color than…*check notes* Wes Anderson!!!
I’m still intrigued about the presentation. I think I will try to hear the original audio later. I’m not sure if they will present only Henry Sugar like a short film or all the “feature” that includes the four shorts. It seems it was reported like that by THR but Alberto Barbera seems to be talking only about 40 minutes Henry Sugar “masterpiece”
Also, is Dev Patel the doctor at the left? Because if that’s the case it really seems that Ben Kingsley is indeed playing Khan! Lol I don’t know why I imagined him like the old wise man (Ok, because he is old!) and not the stupid cheating fool that results even more amoral than Henry himself! He will be great!
EDITED About the color, it totally looks like a 16mm old film! Something from the 1960s or 1970s. I don't know when it supposedly will be set. BC suggested it was it was a period piece but Anderson is very ambiguous about time.

I don't know why I found funny that Kingsley is playing one of the meaty roles here! We expect that old actors play the old wise roles and the hot young stars to play the actually "good" roles!! I mean Patel has a lot of fans and it seems he is playing just one of the doctors! Surely, he is playing the lead in other story and the adaptation could change characters from the book but he seemed the obvious actor for Khan who I imagined like a young man! Lol
